Annie: crafts

Also if each child wants to bring a snack to share that is great too. Nothing sugary! Things like Cheezits (jessica) grapes (kaitlyn), pretzels, carrots, etc.

12/3/19- Today we made a big JOY sign for the center, posters for our Ugly Sweater week next week, cut out strips of paper for all the LOL students to decorate our Christmas tree with and decided we wanted to do a little party next week. So everyone should bring some sort of treat or snack to share. There are 8 of us total in the class.

11/19/19- Today we cleaned out the game cupboard here in the center. Then we played a fun game called Telestrations. We also decided that we wanted an ugly sweater week the week of Dec 10,11, 12th.

11/12/19- Today we made our trophy for our canned food drive that is going on. The kids had fun putting together the cans however they wanted. Now I really want to win!!

Then we started making posters for Cozy Clothes Week Nov 12,13,14th. We also discussed our upcoming food drive in November and talked about trying to make a trophy for the winning class! Such a great idea Renae!!

10/22/19- We are finally at our week of the Halloween party! The kids and I agreed that we have been discussing Halloween for a long time and are excited to move onto other things next month. ;)
Anyways, the party is THIS FRIDAY! Student Gov will arrive at 9:30 to set up. The party will run from 10-11 at Lions park in Folsom. We are counting on everyone to help with this fun event.

10/15/19- We discussed our party again, made a few little adjustments. Then worked on making little decor items for one of the games. We are excited to have our party! Friday Oct 25th, starts at 10. We decided we will get there about 9:30 to start setting up.

10/8/19- Today we wrapped up all our party posters. They turned out so cute!! They are all over our center now. So everyone should know about our party. :)

10/1/19- We finished emailing parents the school pictures. I've had so many compliments, the kids did such a great job!! We discussed in detail our plans for the Halloween party. Thanks to Annie for taking the lead on this. Then they started making posters.

9/24/19- We started emailing our pictures to families. We also discussed a spirit week next week. The kids landed on School Colors; which we decided were red, white and blue. They made lots of posters and hung them around the school.

9/17/19- Today we started picture day!! We discussed in length the importance of being careful with my very expensive, very new camera! :) Most of the kids agreed to be VERY careful and so I let the kids use my camera. We went outside to practice taking pictures of each other. The kids did SO great!!! I am so proud! They teamed up and some took pics today, some will do tomorrow, and some on Thursday. It is shaping up to be a great fundraiser!

9/10/19- It was fun finally meeting all the kids in Student Gov! I am very excited for this class this year! We started the day by playing a get to know you game to loosen up a bit. After that we started talking about our plans for the year. I gave them some of my ideas and then let them discuss. We decided each child will be President for a calendar month and be in charge of that activity/fundraiser. We are hoping to raise enough money to buy a drinking fountain this year! We are starting off with BACK TO SCHOOL PICS! Jessica is taking the lead and we are all ready to help her with this project!
